Sacramento Pet Sitting: 01/25/12

January 25, 2012 in Kiki & Napoleon, Mr. Bean, Peanut & Anathema

No Peanut today, watered front and back plants. A little black tuft of fur in the kitchen told me that Anathema had been in.

Also, it was a GREAT day in my rescue world, click here to get the scoop.

Sacramento Pet Sitting: 01/23/12

January 23, 2012 in Kiki & Napoleon, Peanut & Anathema

I did not see Peanut when I came by but did find him about a block from home, roaming
around some bushes. I stopped and called him but he just meowed, rubbed on a wrought iron
fence and sauntered off to do important cat things.

Walks with Georgia and Roxy and a visit with Kiki and Napoleon.

January 14, 2011 in Bok wi, Chanel, Georgia, Kiki & Napoleon, Ryce

So here it is – photographic evidence that Kiki and Napoleon’s drowned mouse was left on the counter. I post this because I left it on the sink to dry yesterday and today, it was on the floor. Hmmmm….

January 13, 2011 in Bok wi, Izzy & Reagan & Jersey, Kiki & Mickey, Kiki & Napoleon

Everyone is fine and dandy but….

We have a mouse murder by drowning, a tragic bird incident (pets are innocent!), a possible cat-litter-as-sand-castle-material contest, a roaring lion, bathroom accessory destruction, and Houdinisms.

So first of all, I walk into girl Kiki and Mickey’s house, and head over to clean the litterbox after saying hello to both. I find a nice little pile of litter outside of the box. And yes, it was topped off with a package, I just thought that wouldn’t be a very um, tasteful photo.

Bok wi was full of playfulness but Mom didn’t want him walked in the rain so we hung out inside, played with the bear and even got a good brushing session in.

Izzy and I had a nice walk and managed to stay dry. After taking Izzy out, I went back to let Reagan and Jersey potty and was shocked to be greeted by Reagan in Jersey’s kennel with her, jumping around and acting so normally that for a moment I thought Mom and Dad left them that way…until I made my way around to Reagan’s crate. Another surprise awaited us outside – a feather explosion in the yard and the discovery of a little pigeon who sadly, did not survive whatever attacked him. Rest in peace, pigeon friend.

Already shaken by the pigeon’s untimely demise, I nearly failed to appreciate the comedy of boy Kiki and Napoleon and their drowned mouse. Of course, it’s very difficult not to laugh with these two and they reminded me that life does, in fact, go on.

January 12, 2011 in Georgia, Izzy & Reagan & Jersey, Kiki & Mickey, Kiki & Napoleon

Lots of kitties today (and two Kikis)!!!

Mickey was very curious about everything I was doing and followed me around while Kiki hung out on the bed and glared at me.

Jersey was being quite the little sassy pants today and I had to stop several times to tell her to stop pulling. Reagan behaved himself and princess Izzy didn’t give me any problems at all. Georgia tried really, really, really hard to hold her stay to get her collar on. She actually succeeded this time, I was very proud of her!

Kiki came running up to me once he realized who I was; I’m always happy when that happens. Napoleon eyed me with a little more caution before running toward the bed. Once there, he started running under the bed but when I stopped, he kept his rear end sticking out, taunting me to get closer.  He is such a silly cat!

Please note: the black spot in the photos is from my haunted camera. The spot recently moved into the camera and does not appear to want to move out anytime soon.

October 26, 2010 in Georgia, Kiki & Napoleon, Mr. Bean

Well, it’s always pleasant when you have a blog post all ready to go and then your browser shuts down and you lose everything. Yep, super pleasant.

*deep breaths*

Okay, so Mr. Bean and I headed over to an apartment complex that has cool ponds and fountains with ducks. I was a little bummed because I thought he would get all excited to see the ducks but instead it was trying to eat moss that got him going. Go figure.

Georgia was just very disturbed by these Halloween decorations we walk by almost every day.

Kiki and Napoleon are great. We did catnip tonight and I found Kiki passed out on the scratching post and had to take a picture. We also played on the area rug. Napoleon and I played chase for a little bit also.

October 25, 2010 in CHAKO, Georgia, Kiki & Napoleon, Puddles & Silky

Super busy day!

First of all, I need to apologize for the pictures today. My camera decided to die and this is what it is doing. I just got back from buying a new one, here’s to hoping we don’t have issues with it.

My first order of business was to check on Puddles and Silky. I was surprised when I walked up and found the door unlocked. I started to panic, wondering if it was even possible that I left the door like that, but everything was fine – Mom had just returned early due to the weather.

Next, I made my way over to Georgia, who had an appointment at the groomer.

While waiting for her to be finished, I headed over to City Shelter and helped train dogs in Chako’s CGC program. After that, I picked a bunny up from the vet on behalf of Sacramento House Rabbit Society and delivered him safely home.

Once I left the bunny’s house, it was time to pick Georgia up and then we had our walk. It was a bit chilly but the sunset was gorgeous. I wish my pictures had come out!

I then went to visit with Kiki and Napoleon. We did our little can sniffing and then I chased Napoleon around a bit and did the chores. Someone had kicked litter all over the floor so I vacuumed that up.

My dog needed to be let out so I stopped off at home before going over to Sonia’s house. She’s a volunteer with Sacramento House Rabbit Society and she helped me to get some stubborn mats out of my Peanut Butter’s fur. If you ever need help with bunny grooming, please stop by our one of our adoption days where there are experienced volunteers that can help you for a small donation ($10 is appreciated). The next SHRS adoption day is November 13th at the Petco in Citrus Heights. By the way – THANK YOU SONIA!

Finally, I hopped on over to the store, covered in muddy paw prints and bunny fur to get a new camera.

I am SO ready for bed!
