Boy, was today hot or was today HOT?!
If Georgia could sweat, she would have been, that is for sure! Luckily we could stay close the park and walk under the shade of the trees. We even saw a litter of ground squirrel babies, they were so amazingly super cute. Of course, I didn’t have my good camera with me, so you’ll just have to imagine. There were about 6 of them, all piled on top of each other, perched on the outer rim of their burrow. They were about the size of those little 6 oz soda cans. Total cuteness overload. When we walked by they scurried back underground.
I was initially hired to walk Molly during home showings but since the house has just recently been sold, this will be our only walk. I wish Molly & her family the best in their new town!
We made the most of our time today though. There is a little step area around a lake at the park and the lowest step is under water so I took Molly down there so she could soak her feet since it was so hot. Well, she took it one step further and decided to go swimming! I walked along on the stairs and she swam beside me on her leash. Afterward, we headed home and I gave Molly a bath and wished her a safe trip!
Percy, Mushka, & Eli– I went over today to bring them a fan since it’s so hot. Mushka was being her beautiful anti-social self and Eli & Percy were hiding, but everyone was okay. I couldn’t get any pictures with my camera phone because of the low light, so I will have to remember to bring the good camera tomorrow since it has a flash.
Broly received two compliments today on his stellar looks. He was quite pleased with himself, as he usually is. He spent some time rolling around in the grass and watching cats run around.
