Poor Sweet Lil Bear was not a happy camper when I walked through the door. At first she barked at me in the room, then she ran back to her cave and hid in there while she barked at me from a distance.

Not wanting to upset her further, I busied myself checking on the buns. I went in and petted everyone. Sylvie was suspicious of my intentions, she stood up and checked me out from a distance.

You are NOT my mommy!

Checked Nuffy’s bottom and all looked well there but then he got tired of me and hopped off. Winter was actually out and of all the pets, she seemed the most willing to give me a chance. She kept looking up at me then hopped closer so I could scratch her back. I refilled everyone’s water (Sylvie did approve of that and actually came up to me and sniffed my hand for a while) and then I went to track down Ms. Cave Barker.

Sure enough, she was hiding back there but this time I had a cookie! After asking her nicely several times, I sat down and waited until finally, out she came.

You can't be all that evil if you have cookies....

I broke it up into smaller pieces so I’d have more to share and more time to win her over. As I broke the pieces, I put the remainder in my lap and I had Lil Bear sit before I gave her another piece. Imagine my excitement when she moved in really close and put her head down – she was going to let me hug her! Oh, wait. She stole the last cookie piece and ran back to the cave! Feeling defeated and wondering how I was going to convince her to go for her potty walk, I went back to the buns. At least Winter accepts me!

It's okay Nuffy, I think she's nice and I'm here for you!

After a little more time with the bunnies, I went back to yet again try to earn Lil Bear’s affections. This time, I grabbed the leash.

You may walk me now

We took a brisk walk down to the end of the street and Lil Bear did a 1 and a 2 and then we trotted on back to the house. Once back home, Lil Bear let me hug on her for a bit then she got the panda and ran back to her cave.

The morning visit should be fun, lots more to do and everyone will be better acquainted with me as well.
