Well, Dad put down scat mats to keep Regan from jumping over the gate and it works – only Regan didn’t want to go back in once I let him out! I had to half-carry and drag him back, and here I thought Jersey was stubborn! Both Izzy and Regan were in the laundry room when I arrived. Since they aren’t usually in there, I left them out but then Dad texted and said that they were in there when he got home. I’m not sure how they are managing to do this, but hopefully it is figured out soon. Jersey was feeling a bit melancholy today and it took several minutes before I could convince her to come out for a walk but once on the walk, she did just fine.

Mr. Bean and I had fun, especially since I recently learned that the trees out front are called Strawberry trees, and the fruit is edible. I tried one, they are pretty tasty!

I also stopped over at Bam-bam’s house to take care of the litterbox. Melrose lives there, but is looking for a new home so if you know anyone that might be interested in a 6 year old neutered male cat, please do get in touch with me.

Cowboy had a puppy check up this evening. The staff just loved him and he had fun at the vet’s office after he got over his initial trepidation. In fact, he got so comfy, that he stole a chew toy right off the counter and proceeded to lay on the counter to chew it! Silly boy! Please email adoptions@chako.org if you’d like to provide a forever home to this wonderful pup or to Jersey, who is also a lovely girl and is also available for adoption through Chako.
